Peggy Sage Cosmetics Review ๐Ÿ’„

Hey everyone!

Hope you’re all doing great! ๐Ÿ’‹

I’m really excited for todays post as I will be testing and reviewing a brand named Peggy Sage!

This is a really big brand in Europe and is slowly getting loads of attention in the UK!  I was lucky enough to be sent a few makeup products for review.  They also do amazing nail, skin and body care! โญ๏ธ

This is a very luxurious, professional range and is actually very affordable for the quality you are getting!

So let’s get right into it! โœจ

Peggy Sage Cosmetics

L-R: Mosaic Powder and Shimmering Illuminating Powder

The first products I tested were the:

-Shimmering illuminating powder in the shade ‘Pรชche’

-Mosaic powder in ‘รฉtรฉ indien’

I was so excited to try these and I was not disappointed!  The texture is actually really soft and creamy which I love and they applied very easily.  The illuminating powder is a great highlighter which I love using on the high points of my face, and the mosaic powder gives illumination and some warmth to the face.

L-R: illuminating powder and mosaic powder

(Excuse the different lighting ๐Ÿ˜ข).
As you can see, these are so beautiful!  It’s safe to say I felt like a shining, gleaming glitter ball ๐Ÿ˜‰  Definitely the best highlighter and bronzer I own!  These retail at ยฃ13.10 and ยฃ10.70 respectively.

Next, I tested the variety of lip products (and you guys know how much I love my lipsticks!)

Peggy Sage Cosmetics

If we start from the top left and go clockwise we have:

-Matte lipsticks (not sure what the shades are, 2 nudes and a rose)

-Lak for Lips in the shade ‘Baby Lak’ (this is like a liquid lipstick/gloss)

-Lipstick in the shade ‘lie de vin’

-Lip liner pencil in the shade ‘bois de rose’

Can we just talk about the packaging for a second?!

It’s so sleek and definitely durable!  The lipstick packaging reminds me of the NARS rubber packaging on their lipsticks and I honestly couldn’t tell a difference๐Ÿ˜Š

Now for some swatches!

Lipstick, Lak for Lips, Lip liner

Matte Lipsticks

Paggy Sage Matte Lipstick swatches

I was pleasantly surprised with the Matte Lipsticks.  I thought that because they are matte, they might dry out my lips and drag but my oh my!  These were actually extremely creamy and dried to a matte finish  (Plus the amount of product you get is fabulous) ๐Ÿ˜Œ These retail at ยฃ8.10

I was terrified of using the nude colours in case they washed me out but they didn’t! YAY!  My favourite shade is the one on the bottom right!  I have been wearing it everyday  since I received it and will definitely be repurchasing ๐Ÿ˜

Next, I have another lipstick swatch๐Ÿ’‹

Peggy Sage Lipstick in ‘lie de vin’

This lipstick was so creamy and velvety smooth when I applied it to my lips and has the most stunning pigmentation!  This lasted a good few hours and did fade slightly after eating.  It leaves the most gorgeous stain!  Overall, in terms of the texture and pigmentation, this rivals my current favourite lipstick formulation (intensely lavish lipsticks by KIKO) ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„ So spot on peggy sage!   This retails at ยฃ7.10.

Peggy Sage Lip liner

I have been going through a massive lip liner phase so I was really excited to try this out! ๐Ÿ˜ I was not disappointed.

The best lipliners I have tried come from MAC, which cost anywhere between ยฃ12-ยฃ15.  This lipliner is ยฃ4.50 and rivals those by MAC.  The swatch above is just one application so the pigmentation is on point!  They also don’t drag much, however as always, I would recommend adding some balm underneath to make application extra easier.
I didn’t swatch the limited edition Lak for Lips just because the colour sent washed me out completely (can’t win them all hehe), however, if anyone is interested, it is non sticky, smells like cake batter ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ and is so soft and creamy โค๏ธ

So, to conclude this review… I would highly recommend this brand!  I honestly think the quality is amazing for the affordable prices and I’m surprised they are not bigger in the UK! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ so go check them out girls!  I can’t wait to check out some more products.  The skin care they do looks pretty amazing too โญ๏ธ

I’ll provide some links below to their website and social media ๐Ÿ˜Š

Winged Eyeliner Tutorial ๐Ÿ’–

Hey guys!!

Hope you’re all doing brilliant! โค๏ธ

TGIF!  I’ve had such a horrible week what with all my university coursework deadlines looming! (writing a long ass essay on why we itch?! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ).  I hope you guys have had a better week than me ๐Ÿ˜Š

Some of you may remember my last post where I did a rainbow eyeliner tutorial!  It got an awesome response (love you guys ๐Ÿ’•) and quite a few of you asked for a tutorial on how to do winged and non winged eyeliner!  So, here it is!

Winged eyeliner can be difficult to achieve sometimes (I still struggle and end up flinging my eyeliner pen across the room in anger ๐Ÿ˜‚).  It can take a few attempts to get it perfect and equal but trust me when I say: Practice makes perfect! ๐Ÿ’• (plus don’t fear the eyeliner… It can sense your fear) ๐Ÿ˜Œ

For this tutorial, I used an eyeliner pen.  I feel I have more control with a pen and it’s great for those of you who are beginners as the thin tip helps a lot.

Kiko ultimate pen longwear eyeliner

Winged Eyeliner Tutorial

So let’s get straight into it!

I first like to start in the inner corner and work my way outwards and do the wing last, whereas some of you might prefer to do the wing first.  Whatever floats your boat ๐Ÿ˜Š

If you have trouble forming a straight line, I recommend using the dot to dot technique!  Simply draw some dots close to your upper lash line and connect them using small strokes!

Once you have connected them and got your line (you can do it as thick or as thin as you want) you may wish to leave it here or add a wing!

To draw the wing, I like to draw a diagonal line from the outer corner of my eye up towards the tail of my eyebrows.  You can keep it short and sweet or really extend it for a feline flick ๐Ÿ˜

If you are really struggling to get a nice straight angle, you can use something as a guide!  I like to use a sticky note pad or cellotape!

You pretty much get the same result (plus it’s a lot neater!)

Once you have your angle, you want to connect it back to the first line that we did on our upper lash line.  What I like to do is connect it from just above the halfway point of my wing so I still have a nice thin tip.

Simple drag your eyeliner pen down to form a triangle that connects with the first line, like so.  It doesn’t have to be perfect because we are going to fill this triangle in!

Next, fill in the triangle trying to stay within the lines.

If you do happen to mess it up a bit, take a q-tip and some makeup remover and simple swipe away the mess!  You can also use makeup remover to really sharpen the tip of the wing!

And there you go!!  Wings sharp enough to fly! ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ

As for getting it equal on both sides, I recommend looking straight down into a mirror and using the same points of reference for each eye i.e the outer corner of your eyelid.

I really hope some of you found this helpful!  If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!  And I also hope you like these picture tutorials?! Let me know ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hope you all have an amazing day, and may the wings of your liner always be even โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

See you later guys!

Bonfire Night Inspired Rainbow Eyeliner โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’œ

Hi there lovely people!

I can’t believe it’s already November!!  Time absolutely flies by and I don’t like it haha!  ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

As you know it was November 5th yesterday.  Bonfire night!!  I absolutely love watching fireworks and seeing all the different colours (even though it was chucking it down ๐ŸŽ†).  I thought I’d do a fun and vibrant rainbow eyeliner tutorial for you guys!  I think it’s very wearable and glam!

Rainbow eyeliner tutorial

For this tutorial I used my trusty BH cosmetics day and night palette due to the wide range of vibrant colours!

BH cosmetics day and night palette

๐Ÿ’ฅ I first primed my eyelids so that the colours would look more vibrant.  I also used some water on my brushes to make sure the colours were really pigmented (as a few colours in this palette aren’t extremely pigmented).

๐Ÿ’ฅ Next, I did some winged eyeliner with the kiko ultimate pen long wear eyeliner.  It doesn’t have to be winged.  I just thought it was a nice effect ๐Ÿ˜Š (if you’d like to see a winged eyeliner tutorial let me know!)

Kiko ultimate pen long wear eyeliner

๐Ÿ’ฅ Next comes the slightly tricky bit. Adding all the colours.  Take a very small detailer brush to do this part.
Wet your brush a bit and take each respective colour.  It doesn’t have to be rainbow either!! You could do different shades of green or blue and build a gradient.  Have fun with it!

Apply the colour above the eyeliner in small strokes.  A small square is sufficient for each colour. Keep going until you reach the wing and slightly wing out the last colour you use.

Rainbow Eyeliner

If you do get eyeshadow over your eyeliner don’t worry about it!  We can over the eyeliner again and sharpen it up.  If you smudge anything simple take a q tip and some makeup remover and wipe away.

Rainbow Eyeliner Tutorial

If you struggle with eyeliner, you can buy eyeliner guides these days!  Simple apply the stencil to where you want to apply your eyeliner and fill in.  Remember, practice makes perfect!  It’s just eyeliner.  You can remove it and start again in no time ๐Ÿ˜Š

To complete the look, I added some lovely green eyeshadow to my bottom lash line making sure to blend it.  You can also add a highlight to your inner corner and brow bone to add an extra dimension.

Finish off with mascara and voilร !!  A gorgeous, fun and vibrant look that believe it or not, is extremely wearable!

Rainbow Eyeliner

I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I hope some of are brave enough to try it out!!  Let me know if you do.  I would love to see your versions!!  Remember to have fun with it!

If you want to see a specific tutorial etc please let me know โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Hope you had a wonderful Bonfire Night.  Stay safe guys!!

Lipstick Madness ๐Ÿ’„

Hey everyone!

Hope you’re all doing awesome!

I wasn’t actually meant to post until tomorrow (bonfire night inspired makeup anyone?) but couldn’t resist injecting some lipstick craziness!

So this is going to be a very short post and I hope you feel warm and fuzzy inside like I do when I see lipsticks ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lipstick Favourites

Here we have my most favourite lipsticks ever!  They include a wide variety, from drugstore to high end (M.A.C, NARS, Maybelline, Essence (my new fave!) and Kiko just to name a few).

As you can see I really like my mauvey nude shades.  I can just swipe them on and off I go!  I can’t resist not buying a mauve shade and have a long list of future buys ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜

If you would like to see a more in depth post about my lipstick collection please let me know!  I’d love to show you swatches on the lips!

I am planning my future posts right now as I am so busy these days!  So keep a look out for more tutorials, hauls and reviews!  And please feel free to comment if you would like me to post about anything specific!

Thanks for reading this mini post!

Hope you have a safe 5th November! ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ
Love you all!

Berry Inspired Eyeshadow Tutorial ๐Ÿ“

Welcome back to ibeautytalk lovely people!

Hope you’re all doing wonderfully! โค๏ธ

It’s definitely big fat sweater weather here in the North of England!  My favourite time of the year!  All cosy on the sofa with a cuppa! โ˜•๏ธ

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do an eyeshadow tutorial inspired by berry/purple shades just for fun!  It brings a lovely pop of colour to the eyes (especially if your a brown eyed gal!)

Berry toned eyeshadow

I’ve put up a collage above piecing together the whole look for those of you who want to get straight to the point!   For those of you who want to know exactly how to achieve this look, keep reading!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

For this berry inspired eyeshadow, I used the BH Cosmetics Day and Night Palette.  This is a gorgeous palette consisting of 60 versatile shades (not all of them are super pigmented but it’s definitely a fab palette for the price!)

BH Cosmetics Day&Night palette

The left side of this palette has some beautiful pastel shades perfect for daytime and the right side has some sexy dark shades for the evening!  I prefer the ‘night’ side because I love me a good smokey eye!
So, the first colour I took was from the left side (first colour of the third row).  It’s a lovely mauvey brown shade perfect for my transition shade with which to blend the rest of the colours out.

I tossed it into the crease with a big fat fluffy brush (you don’t have to be too neat).

I then took the brown shade from the right side of the palette (last row, second shade) and deepened up my crease a but more with a slightly thinner blending brush.  This will create a fabulous gradient effect.  Remember to keep blending!

I then took the tiniest amount of black mixed with the red shade and focused this mainly on the outer corner of my eye, bringing it slightly into the crease again with a more precise brush.

Don’t worry if it looks a bit messy.  We’re going to clean it up at the end!

I then took more black and focused it right at the outer corner, blending it out with small circular motions with a blending brush.

Next, I took a light shimmery purple colour (not the most pigmented colour so forgive the quality) and tapped it on to my lid.  I also added a highlight colour right in the inner corner of my eye to give an extra pop!  To clean up at the edges, take a wet wipe or some makeup remover on a q tip and neaten the edges and blend it once more so you don’t have any harsh lines.

You can now go ahead and add your eyeliner and mascara (whatever style you wish, wings or no wings!) and a browbone highlight to give an extra dimension.

And there we are!  A lovely purple, berry undertoned eyeshadow look with some lovely red undertones!

If you would like me to a post explaining exactly where to place eyeshadows and how to do this for different eye shapes please let me know!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and let me know if you decide to recreate this!

Hope you have a wonderful day lovelies!

Smokey Eye Tutorial ๐Ÿ’œ

Heeeey lovely people!!

Hope you’re all fab! โค๏ธ

Today I wanted to push myself and do something a bit scary that I would never have done a few months ago.  An eyeshadow tutorial.  Dun dun duuuunn!  You’re probably thinking that’s not a big deal…but for me it’s huge!  I’m not amazing at applying makeup but it’s something I love to do.  It’s my happy place ๐Ÿ˜Š So I really hope you find this helpful and I know you guys will support me however it turns out because you’re a lovely bunch ๐Ÿ˜˜

So without further ado…

Eyeshadow may seem terrifying at first.  You see all these gorgeous looks on Instagram and Pinterest and think how on earth did they do that?!

The key is blending.  Blend blend blend.  I would invest in a good set of eyeshadow brushes.  They don’t have to be expensive at all, just something nice and fluffy to blend, a brush to pack on shadows etc (if you want me to do a in depth post on brushes let me know ๐Ÿ˜Š)

The palette I’m using today is the Sleek Au Naturel palette.  This is a gorgeous drugstore palette with beautiful neutral colours perfect for a sexy smokey eye!  Sleek palettes are definitely my favourites from the drugstore.  They are incredibly buttery and pigmented and blend like a dream!

I have shown which shadows I’m using where just to make it easier to follow.

If you want to prime your eyelids go ahead!  I don’t usually primer them.  A primer will help to make the colours more vibrant and prevent them from sliding about and fading.

First, I took a very fluffy brush and used the shade ‘cappuccino’ as my transition colour.  A transition colour helps all the other colours to blend in.

I then took the shade ‘bark’ on a different fluffy brush and swiped it in my crease.  I take very little product and build it up.  To get a nice gradient, use windscreen wiper motions and keep going back with your fluffy brush with the transition colour just to keep everything nice and blended.

Next, I mixed the shades ‘regal’ and ‘noir’ just to darken up the crease a bit more.  Then, with a stiffer blending brush I took just ‘noir’ and applied it to the outer corner of my eye.  You want to make sure you don’t take it past the crease colour.  Don’t worry if you look like a panda!  We’re going to be going back in with our transition colour and blend everything out softly so there are no harsh edges!

I’m darkening the outer v even more whilst blending at the same time.  You don’t want to bring the black too in as we need some space for our lid colour!

Last of the eyeshadows.  I applied the gorgeous ‘taupe’ on the remaining lid space with a flat brush, packing it on.  Don’t worry if you get any fall out!  We can clear that right up!  I tend to do my foundation after my eyes but if you do it first you can buy some shadow shields or just place a tissue under your eyes to capture any fall out!

Make sure to blend out where the outer v and lid color meet, as we don’t want any harsh lines.  Think Jaclyn Hill vibes!  Flawless!  Just blend it all seamlessly ๐Ÿ˜

To finish, add your eyeliner and mascara to make it even more dramatic.  A highlight under the brown bone and inner corner will make your eyes pop even more!

VOILร€!

There’s the finished eye.  Wasn’t too hard was it?! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I realise it’s not a perfect smokey eye but I tried my best โ˜บ๏ธ.  Eyeshadow is my favourite part of applying makeup!  Hopefully, I’ll continue improving ๐Ÿ˜Š

I really hope you enjoyed this small pictorial and hope you try it out!  I’d love to see what you guys do!

I do want to try and do more eyeshadow tutorials, with different themes. Let me know if that’s something you’d like to see!

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day wherever you are!

My Beauty Wish List! โค๏ธ

Hey gorgeous people!

How are you all on this chilly evening? ๐ŸŒน

I’m trying to make the most out of blogging before my hectic life starts again next week ๐Ÿ˜Š

Today I wanted to do something fun and different.  A Beauty Wish List!!  I thought it would be a nice idea since christmas is just around the corner (so pay attention peeps!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰)

So let’s get right into it then!

I’m always searching for a primer to beat the current ones I’m using and I’ve heard some awesome stuff about this primer from a lot of my favourite beauty gurus.  I have an extremely oily t-zone so anything that will even remotely help the oiliness…I will try to get my hands on ๐Ÿ˜‰

You guys know I’m a MAC lipstick junkie ๐Ÿ˜ญ  I NEED MORE!  The shades I have my eyes on include taupe (a lovely reddy brown), creme in your coffee (deep rosey brown) and syrup (a beautiful purpley pink in a lustre finish).

I saw Manny Mua use a Makeup Forever Aqua Lip Liner in the shade 2c (a gorgeous rosey mauvey browney shade) and I thought to myself: I need me some of that!  I’m obsessed with rosey brown colours right now โค๏ธ

Some more MAC lip products.  The standard lip pencils.  These shades were all out of stock when I went so I’m hoping I am luckier this time ๐Ÿ˜ซ

GUYS! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I literally just discovered essence and I am IN LOVE!  I picked up two lipsticks yesterday and they are definitely on the way to becoming a firm fave.  I plan to pick up some of the lip liners (satin mauve, honey bun and in the nude) and the matte effect lip glosses (keep an eye out for a post ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Can you tell I like lipsticks? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I really like the look of these Stila Liquid Lipsticks and the shades Patina, Dolce and Amore are calling my name.. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.  If I can’t have the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks then I’ll pick up the next best thing ๐Ÿ˜Œ

I need the Kat Von D Shade + Light contour palette ๐Ÿ˜ญ.  Everyone on youtube raves about this stuff and I don’t own a decent contour kit yet ๐ŸŒน

This is the Morphe 35O palette which was out of stock for the longest time!  Just look at it! ๐Ÿ˜. It’s a thing of beauty my friends.  Manny Mua introduced me to Morphe Brushes and I fell in love with the colour ranges of their eyeshadow palettes!  It’s such a shame that shipping to the UK is so expensive ๐Ÿ˜ช

I am so proud of Jaclyn Hill and her collab with BECCA cosmetics!  Champagne Pop looks amazing and Jaclyn uses it in in all of her videos and she sparkles like a glitter ball dammit ๐Ÿ˜

Aaaand finally.  Cup o’ Coffee fresh face mask by Lush.  My skin is being neglected whilst at uni so I definitely need a quick ‘pick me up’ item and this looks perfect!  I love all the fresh face masks by lush โค๏ธ
And that is the end of my (I hope it wasn’t too long?!) beauty wishlist.  Of course I had a truck load of other items I would have added but I didn’t want to bore you ๐Ÿ˜‚.  As you can see I am a lipstick junkie and my friends are always telling me off ๐Ÿ˜ข

I really hope you enjoyed this post โค๏ธ

What items are on your wishlist?  I’d love to know ๐Ÿ˜„

Have a nice day everyone!

Nars Audacious lipstick in ‘Brigitte’ and Mac Pro Longwear Lipliner in ‘Nice n Spicy’ Lip Combo!ย

Helloooooo beauties!! โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Hope you’re all doing super duper!  Jeez, I feel hyper today, can you tell?

I’ve been soooo busy these last few days hence the lack of posts!  But I have some free time now, so we’re back in business! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Today I wanted to do a highly requested post about the lip combination I used in my MOTD post!  A lot of you said you thought it would make a beautiful everyday shade and let me tell you, it does! ๐Ÿ’‹

The two lip products I used were the Nars Audacious lipstick in the shade ‘Brigitte’ and the MAC Pro Longwear lip pencil in ‘Nice n Spicy’ (quite high end but not to fear!  I plan to dedicate a post to some beautiful drugstore lipsticks I’ve come across these past few weeks)

Mac pro longwear lip pencil (Nice n Spicy) and Nars Audacious lipstick (Brigitte)

left: nice n spicy and right: brigitte

A bit about the products and the shades then.

Nars Audacious lipstick (Brigitte):
This is without a doubt my most expensive lipstick (retailing at an eye watering ยฃ24…I flinch whenever I think about it).

I love the packaging of these audacious lippies!  It’s a beautiful matte black, metal, square packaging with a magnetised lid which makes popping it on and off so much more easier.  The metal also doesn’t get dirty (unlike the rubber packaging of the standard NARS lipsticks which attracts dust and other unknown residues like a magnet ๐Ÿ˜’).  So packaging.  Simple and chic.  Me likey ๐Ÿ˜‰

I must say, brigitte is not a shade that I would normally reach for.  It is a peachy pink that looks slightly coral.  When I was looking at reviews on the web, it appeared different on everyone!  On some people it looked blue toned and on others, very coral and bright.  Not being able to resist a lipstick that appears to be a unique colour on many, I marched down to my Harvey Nichols and left a bit of a dent in my bank account ๐Ÿ˜ต

The formula of these Audacious lipsticks is very creamy and you get superb pigmentation after one swipe.  Brigitte is a matte finish so I would recommend exfoliating the lips and applying a balm to ensure it looks smooth and even.  I feel this lipstick does last a good amount of time (even after drinking and eating).  In my opinion, yes NARS is a helluvalot more expensive than most lipsticks, but when it comes to NARS I feel their quality is out of this world!

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil (Nice n Spicy):

This is probably my most favourite lip liner EVER! (at the moment anyway ๐Ÿ˜‰).  You know how much I adore MAC lip products you guys ๐Ÿ˜ซ

I didn’t actually set out to get this lip pencil when I went into the shop.  I wanted the normal lip pencil in ‘spice’ which was out of stock, as was ‘whirl’…and ‘cork’…and ‘stripdown’…and ‘soar’… and ‘boldy bare’.  Do you see where this is going? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ (achem The Kylie Jenner Effect ๐Ÿ˜).

Well.  I wasn’t about to leave the store without a lipliner so the kind lady recommended I buy the Pro longwear version (ยฃ15.00).  The closest shade to ‘spice’ was ‘nice n spicy’ ๐Ÿ˜‰.  This shade is a gorgeous rosy brown with terracotta undertones.  This lip pencil is soooo creamy and it stays on your lips like cement! (In a good way).  I needed  a good few swipes with makeup remover to get it off so you can be assured that this lasts all day!

The pencil doesn’t tug on your lips at all and is obviously very pigmented.  Rather than wear it alone, I like to pair it with pinker lipsticks as it creates the most beautiful soft pinkey nude shade.

Mac ‘nice n spicy’ on its own

As you can see, by itself it lacks something?!  I feel I need more ๐Ÿ’‹

‘nice n spicy’ and ‘brigitte’

Voila!  A bit of ‘brigitte’ on top and I get an extremely versatile shade that I can wear everyday and that lasts all day!

Mac nice n spicy and Nars brigitte= HAPPY BUNNY.

As you can see, a very simple everyday lip look.  If you’re hesitant about spending ungodly amounts of money on these (I don’t blame you) some good alternatives are:

  • Essence lip liner in 06 ‘satin mauve’
  • Makup forever aqua lip 2c
  • Revlon nude lip pencil
  • Loreal colour riche balm pop in ‘caring coral’

I would highly recommend both these shades for all skin tones!  The lip liner is just the perfect rosey brown and the lipstick brightens up your complexion without washing you out!

I really hope you enjoyed this post and I apologise if I ramble on sometimes (I get carried away with lippies ๐Ÿ˜‚).  If you have any requests/queries please feel free to ask.  I love interacting with everyone.  Oh and I recently went to 100+ followers which is amazing?!?!  Thank you so much everyone!!

Hope you all have a fabulous day!!!  Love you guys.

NARS concealers review

Hey everyone!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful day ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been so busy with university these past few days that it’s been quite hard to blog. I’ve been trying to strikeย a good balanceย with work, social life etc and I think I’m getting there slowly. ย It takes a while to get used to all the work again after a good 4-5 months off doing pretty much nothing! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Today I wanted to do a review on two NARS concealers which are by FAR my most favourite concealers ever! (and I’m a tough lass to please).

The two concealers are the NARS radiant creamy concealerย and the NARS stick concealerย which are both in the shade ‘ginger’. ย This shade is described as a shade for medium complexions with golden undertones. ย The radiant creamy concealer has 10 shades and the stick version has 9 shades. ย These retail at ยฃ22 and ยฃ19 respectively.

IMG_3116

NARS radiant creamy concealer and stick concealer in ‘ginger’

The radiant creamy concealer comes with a wand applicator and you get a decent 0.22 oz of product. ย This concealer is fabulous! ย It’s the only concealer shade that matches my skin PERFECTLY! ย Trust me, being a medium toned girl with olive/golden undertones made it so hard for me to find a concealer shade that was perfect from the drugstore, so NARS definitely saved me there. ย Since it matches me so perfectly, I like to use this concealer on days I am not wearing foundation by pinpoint concealing my blemishes. ย This method makes my face look flawless without using too much product. ย It’s also brilliant for covering dark circles (which most people would probably use the creamy one for) and the variety of shades allows you to also highlight and contour with a seamless finish.

This concealer is so creamy and has a medium to full coverage,ย so you definitely don’t need a lot. ย I start with a small amount and blend it with a damp spongeย and then build up coverage if necessary. ย This instantly blurs any imperfections and fine lines. ย It also has light diffusing technology which softens the look of skin (plus it’s non comedogenic yay!). ย The reason I love this concealer so much is because of the pigment. ย Some concealers disappear as soon as you start to blend them but this is a very opaque yet lightweight consistency which ensures you’re not wasting product.

The next concealer is the stick version. ย This a much more opaque version of the creamy concealer and is good for covering stubborn hyperpigmentation/blemishes. ย It is still creamy and easy to blend and I think it’s great for my oily skin as it leaves a COMPLETELY matte finish and stays matte throughout the day (absolutely no shimmer unlike a lot of concealers). ย It’s extremely long wearing, crease resistant and has a nourishing vitamin rich formula that looks after the skin. ย Both these concealers are formulated without parabens, alcohol, sulfates and fragrances.

Also, these concealers don’t oxidise on my skin. ย With previous concealers I found that they turned a ghastly shade of orange on my very yellow undertoned skin after a few hours, no matter what primer/setting powder I used. ย So I am very pleasantly surprised at the formulation and wear. ย I’m also so glad that NARS has concealers and foundations suited to us girls with yellow undertones (pale or darker skinned) which seems to be so hard to find at the drugstore. ย Other brands with good yellow undertones include Bobbi Brown and MAC (worth the price you have to pay)

I rate these concealers a fab 9/10 (bit overpriced for some people but I think it’s totally worth it! ย I’ve repurchased these about 6 times LOL). ย If I had to choose one makeup product to keep for the rest of my life IT WOULD BE A NARS CONCEALER DAMMIT! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a long wearing, matte finish concealer with a good (and unnervingly accurate) shade selection. ย NARS is a bit overpriced in my opinion but honestly, these are so worth it. ย I can see why makeup artists and the like love them so much! ย Go try them!

I hope you enjoyed this review and let me know what your favourite NARS product is or what’s on your wishlist ๐Ÿ™‚ ย I’d love to hear from you.

Hope you all have a glorious day!
