HELP!  Looking for a good primer… 😞

Hi there everyone!  Hope you’re all well 🙂

This is going to be a very quick post as I am in a bit of a dilemma and need the help of you lovely people!

I’m looking for a good primer that will reduce pore size, fine lines and prevent oil build up and just generally prevent my foundation from sliding off.  I don’t mind drugstore or high end. (I’m thinking benefits porefessional at the moment..)

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

I use Maxfactor Facefinity All Day Primer, my foundation certainly stays on all day and applies better with it underneath. I think is was around a tenner? I have very oily skin and I find it doesn’t “over mattify” my complexion. I haven’t used anything better yet! 😊

I swear by the Nyx Shine Killer Primer! Its only like $12.00 in the drugstore and it makes my makeup last longer than any higher end primer I have used. I have oily skin and this just makes my makeup stay put for longer. Good luck 🙂

Smashbox all the way hun! They will give you free sample sizes to try too. I’ve done a review on my Smashbox primer collection, oh yes I now remember you were asking me about them. It’s up on my blog. Check it out hun xxxx

I am in the UK! Woohoo haha. In Leicester we have only one smashbox counter (booo) and it is in Boots. On my Smashbox blog post there is a link that will show you where your nearest counter is hunny. Even check out beautybythegeeks.com or on their Instagram they did a detailed scientific research on Smashbox and they rated very well! Xxx

This is going to sound weird but if you have seen Nikkitutorials on youtube she loves using the Nivea after shave balm in sensitive, this will make your foundation stick to your face like glue!! Also I have an oily t-zone and it controls the oils fairly well 🙂

For drug store options try Maybelline Baby skin primer for minimizing pores and fine lines. If your skin is a little red, try the Hard candy color correcting green primer, it also reduced pores and evened out skin tone. However, with any primer that you decide to use make sure you give it at least 2 mins for it to be absorbed by the skin prior to putting on foundation.

I’m using ELES Cosmetics Retexturizing Primer. On top of making sure my makeup doesn’ slide, it also keeps my skin looking fresh and oil-free the whole day. It’s retexturizing so it fills the fine lines. I look younger and flawless when I use this 🙂 It’s an Aussie brand and I think they ship internationally if you message themvia Facebook or website. http://www.elescosmetics.com

I just started using Too Faced HaniverRx and I love it but it’s pricey $32. In addition to being a primer it has extra benefits for your skin. Also it feels and applies more like a traditional moisturizer. Hope this helps.

I have been recently trying primers as well for that exact reason and so far I’ve tried benefit porefessional, Maybelline face studio, and maybelline baby skin… the porefessional is good, and im in love with the baby skin. I can’t do high end so don’t know about any others
